Just a short Blog from the HADT to say that we made it back to Kathmandu yesterday.  Lukla airport resembled the Wacky races as aircraft after aircraft landed in the short weather window.  I have to hand it to the pilots, their skill at taxying fast in close proximity to other aircraft was eye-opening!! 

The take-off was not as scary as predicted and just 20 mins later we landed back at Kathmandu in one piece before bomb bursting on last minute shoppng trips!  We were able to take some of our Sherpa staff out for dinner last night and most people are now making themost of their first night in a proper bed in 6 weeks by having a lie-in.

The Monsoon seems to have arrived in Kathandu this morning so the last minute sun-tanning may not happen but, hopefully, we should arrive at Gatwick early Saturday morning as advertised.
